Whirling Blades is an attackskill for one-handed swords, daggers, and claws. The player dives in a target direction, dealing damage to enemies they pass through. It uses both weapons to deal damage if you are dual wielding.

Skill functions and interactions
Movement: Whirling Blades is a movement skill that makes the player move in a straight path in the targeted direction, passing through any enemies and dealing damage to them, after which there is a brief recovery period during which the player cannot move or perform any actions. Enemies cannot be hit more than once with the same skill use. Whirling Blades has both a minimum distance, which can be achieved by aiming the cursor close to the player, and maximum distance, neither of which can be modified.
Use time: Both local and global attack speed modifiers, including the attack speed bonus for dual wielding, decrease Whirling Blades' use time accordingly. If the player uses Whirling Blades to move less than the maximum distance, or if the player collides with an object during the movement, the recovery period is shortened, such that the use time is less.
Dual Wielding: attacks with both weapons simultaneously, averaging the attack speed of both weapons and combining the attacks of both weapons into a single hit. Both weapons will roll their damage values and their accuracy and critical strike checks separately, then combine the expected damage of both weapons. It is possible to miss or crit with one weapon, but not the other.
On-hit effects will only check the result of the final hit.
Any ailments applied by the skill will scale off the final hit.
The final hit is considered a critical strike as long as one of the weapons rolled a crit.
Whirling Blades cannot be repeated (ex. This is a Support Gem. It does not grant a bonus to your character, but to skills in sockets connected to it. Place into an item socket connected to a socket containing the Skill Gem you wish to augment. Right click to remove from a socket.) and cannot support melee splash effects.
Venom Gyre: Caught returning projectiles from Venom Gyre spiral outwards when you use Whirling Blades and do not return.
