One of the stars of the reality TV show Gigolos has been charged with the beating death of his girlfriend while under the influence of drugs in their Las Vegas home, police said.
Ash Armand, 38, who was charged under his real name Akshaya Kubiak, was arrested Thursday after police said he killed his girlfriend, Herleen Kaur Dulai, 29.
Armand, who was being held at the Clark County Detention Center, was charged with one count of open murder, the Las Vegas Metropolitan police said.
He has no bail set, pending a court hearing on Tuesday, a jail spokesperson said.
Kubiak, whose identity was not initially released, was identified after an examination by the Clark County Coroner's Office, KLAS reported.
Cops said that they were called to a home on the 8400 block of Blackstone Ridge Court on Thursday after receiving a 911 call made by Armand reporting that Kubiak was unresponsive.

'Upon arrival, medical advised the female was deceased and showed signs of trauma,' police said in a statement about the incident.

Armand was detained and detectives were called to the home, confirming that the reality TV show star and victim were in a relationship, investigators said.
'Detectives believe that Kubiak was under the influence of narcotics and beat the victim to death,' cops said.

The coroner's office investigation found that Dulai died of blunt force trauma and strangulation, KLAS reported.
Ahmad had starred in Gigolos, a Showtime program about five gigolos living in Las Vegas.
He was introduced in season 3 and appeared in 38 episodes from 2012 to 2016, according to IMDB.com.
